Basketball on the Circle

The Boys playing a game of pick up basketball on the circle....
Oooh, looks like it is a tough game against the little guys.....

He shoots, he scores!!!

I love our circle. Great kids, great parents.....and there is always someone out. Just one more thing to be thankful for today.

GO PURPLE COBRAS!

We were pretty proud of our boy. He loves football and got MVP and best defensive player at the award ceremony for his football team, the Purple Cobras. (Remember the name from Dodge Ball?)

Evie's Room

Will's Room

Will very patiently modeled for these pictures with his room mate and Bearded Dragon, Bacon. We still don't know where the name come from, but we love Bacon. Both kinds, actually. Real bacon and Bacon.

Callie's Room

Callie misses Evie, but she comes to visit and play often!

And their rooms are always this clean......right......

Just thought you might want to see the kids rooms! Today the unimaginable happened and they were all clean .....on the same day.....at the same time. So we decided to mark the momentus occasion with some photos and with a reprieve from the constant threat of calling Niece Nash and asking her if we could be on "Clean House". Evie usually shares a room with Callie , but just recently she really wanted to have her own space. She begged to be able to sleep in the guest room. She says she will give it up whenever someone comes to visit, so don't worry! Annie and Callie and I moved her things to the room one day and surprised her when she came home from school. She was very excited. She still has her drums in her old room and can stay there whenever she wants.

A Blast from the past

Cowboys Stadium with the Talbots

We went on the field, saw the locker rooms, and prayed for a better run next year!

More New Years Eve Memories.....

We woke up the neighbors in the circle and there was confetti all over the house, but it was worth it. I'll always remember this New Year's Eve.....I loved being with my best friends and my kids and my awesome husband.

New Years Eve with the Talbots and Gilmartins

What a perfect New Year's Eve 2010. We went to Asahi, which was a hibachi style steak house. The kids loved it, and a few of them tried sushi for the first time! Then we went over to our neighbors house for a bit and then came back to ring in the New Year's at home. Sarah, we banged pots and pans too! We woke up and looked at our pans the next day.....they were a little worse for wear! We are so thankful for all of our friends and family and wish you all a Happy 2011!

The Talbots and The Goetzes make a movie!

We went to see ICE at the Gaylord Texan and were FREEZING but amazed at what these artists have done. Caren and Dave wanted to see it because they don't get enough cold weather in Chicago.....

The Talbots came to visit for the week after Christmas and it was soooooo much fun! We love you guys!

Who dat crazy Chicago people....

That'd be us. Jim and I met Mike, Marianne, Kay and Frank down in New Orleans to celebrate all of our January birthdays.....and also to see our nephew, Robbie , play in a Jazz festival. He is an AMAZING guitarist, and we couldn't believe the level of talent of his jazz band from New Trier. Way to go Robbie.....and thanks for giving us the excuse to come with you to New Orleans!
